ARCH ENEMY Vocalist: New Songs 'Rock Like Hell'!

April 26, 2005

ARCH ENEMY frontwoman Angela Gossow has issued the following update on the recording sessions for the group's new album:

"I have now completed all the vocal tracks for the new album! Some very intense stuff going on there, I found a couple of new vocal sounds along the way. From extremely high screams to very low growls… It just felt right this time and I am very, very positive about ARCH ENEMY, the album and life in general.

"As I wanted to use a hand-held microphone this time, we spent some time searching for the right sound. I ended up using an ancient Sennheiser microphone this time, turns out it's the best sound I ever had! This particular model is pretty rare these days. We were lucky to find one.

"It's a pleasure to work with Rickard Bengtsson (producer, engineer),he is a singer himself (and a great one — check out his band LAST TRIBE!). He gave me very useful input. The songs rock like hell!

"Damn! It will be a while until you'll all hear the new stuff. I am extremely impatient myself. Want them mixed and mastered by the end of next week…! But no, we all have to wait…"

ARCH ENEMY's follow-up to 2003's "Anthems of Rebellion" is tentatively due this summer.
